Chocolate Cookies

Dear Blog,

Today I decided to bake some chocolate chip cookies for my granddaughter for when they come round tonight because I love to treat my grandkids to some treats. It's more social talking time when my daughter comes round which is nice for a change of noisy excited kids running around. Oscar loves it when the kids come , he gets really excited and runs round like he's on sugar, it's really funny and great that he loves company too.
The cookies were so good they literally melted in your mouth. They were gone in 15 minutes which is a record for my family.

Cake

Dear Blog,

Today i decided to bake a cake for my the community centre down the road, it's smashed chocolate banana cake with a dash of chili, my specialty. This cake takes about an hour to bake, so meanwhile i started knitting. I brought the cake to the centre and all the little juniors wanted some cake as they always do. I sat down with all the parents/caregivers and cut up some yummy cake, everyone drawled over it, it was so funny how much a sweet tooth everyone had. The cake ended up gone in 15 mins which was surprisingly fast for the centre group. I secretly made to cakes just for my family and I, it was nice to be thanked for the effort in my baking for a change from the centre so everyone must appreciate a little effort in the baking which is nice.

The Garden

Dear Blog,

Today i went to the gardens with oscar, he loved it, he went off and played with the other dogs that were there while i sat down on one of the seats. I just glazed onto the garden flowers and went through memory lane. The flowers were so beautiful all i remebered was the good times i had with my husband and how i miss him truely. Oscar is good company, seeing him run around all happy is really nice to see, it takes my mind off the horrible things i go through. But the garden makes everything go away and bring me happy thorghts, who ever takes care of the gardens have done a fantastic job. Everything looks well cut and shaped, i wish my small garden was just as nice.

mmm chocolate!!

Dear Blog,

Today I bought this amazing chocolate, it was so very good i went back and bought more. The only problem with me having chocolate is that im highly dibetic, so i wasn't feeling well after i ate a fair bit. My granddaughter came round and joined my chocoate fest, it was so good hanging with my granddaughter and not be an embarrassment just because most young ones thes days don't like hanging with us oldies. I ended up maiking all these chocolate objects it was fun as we both got so messy that it made it more fun we laughed and talked about how everything is going with her and all her school and sports. Chocolate is my new favourite thing.

What an interesting day!!!

Dear Blog,

Today I went out for lunch with my daughter to Denny's. I had some fish dish, it was really nice, but the only problem was that the table next to us had a few kids and a couple of screaming babies. They were so roudy it was more like a kindygarten than anything. But what was so disrespectfull was that the kids were distroying the furniture around us. After we left it was so nice outside to walk home with my darling daughter, we had i really nice chat, I found out she is pregnant again which is great news and that her relationship is going well. I am so very happy for my daughter as i haven't seen her this happy in a long time, her husband is such a sweet heart, he is lucky to be with my daughter. I still remember her as my little girl as time flies these days. I hope i am still around when this little baby is born it would be life changing for another granddaughter for me as i only live once.

Need my Sleep!!!!!

Dear blog,

Last night I had the worse sleep ever thanks to those boy-racers and there noisy cars, since I live near the middle of town, my street is a prime street for them noisy buggers. It was probably 1 am I got woken up, zoom zoom was all i heard, they were probably having a drag or what ever they do at one in the morning. I am normally quite good when i gat woken up but i was quite cranky, even Oscar was going crazy barking all the time, running round the house, he even drove me insane. Luckily at about 2.30 am i was so tired i was out like a light, but still it's frustrating having all the boy-racers drive around at late hours of the night disturbing everyone when they obviously have no respect for people who need to sleep. Back in my day there was a certain age limit at driving at late times during the night, not young ones like there are now. What's wrong with the society now????

Dear Blog,

Today I took Oscar for a walk, as we were walking down the streets all you could see was alot of tagging done on fences. It was dreadful because i bet that the fences that were tagged was the tagger fence. Back in my day the only graffiti used was for paintings or sculpture or any type of art work created. Some of the tags you couldn't even read, assuming that they are meant to be names of some sort, all it looked like was scribble. Personally i would prefer if the tags were part of an artwork than graffitied all along the street. You'd get annoyed if you painted your fence and then the next day you see some idiot tagged your fence, i'd be furious.

lazy afternoon

Dear blog,

Today I spent the day gardening, pulling all the weeds out and planting seeds, good little Oscar playing on my small lawn, running round and round. I spent the whole moring in the garden, the weather was perfect, not too hot and not too cold, it was just right. I went inside and sat down in my rocking chair with my knitting gear rocking back and forwards, back and forward, I ended up dosing off for a few hours which was nice just to relax and no i wasn't dying. I enjoyed my lazy afternoon nape, ended up doing a little bit of knitting, i made a couple of socks, good for my granddaughter who loves wearing what i knit.

too HOT!!!

Dear Blog,

Today was such a nice day, the sun was out and Oscar was chatty today. I woke up and the sun was up and my room was getting warm, i went outside and i felt like i was toasting in the sun so i couldn't do any gardening or anything. I am not sure how much i drunk as i was so dehydrated. Just because i am old doesn't mean i can't feel hot. My poor body was sweeting and poor Ocar ended up laying flat out on the tiles in the kitchen all day, I tryed to go out and do things but everytime i got into the sunlight area i started to cook and i could feel my skin cooking as it went red very fast. So all day i watch soaps on T.V. and nitting which i finished a jersey and i scarf which i thort was a good effort as it was toasting inside aswell as outside. I hope the next time its hot it's not as hot as today.

wardrobe madness!!

Dear Blog,

Today I was looking through my wardrobe and well what i found was incredible, I decided to clean my wardrobe out as i have clothes in there which i don't wear anymore. I found this massive dress i wore back in the 50s, it was huge, like wearing a massive sheet but heavier. I also found some interesting 70s clothes too which I'm sure someone of my age is still wearing. But I'm sure my granddaughter might be interested in wearing them, there is a few skirts and very nice dresses for her. About lunchtime i started going mad as i was only half way through, my wardrobe is massive, I needed a massive wardrobe with my husband (may he R.I.P.) we were always going out to functions. Anyways by 2 o'clock I had enough and gave up, so my wardrobe is just over half empty which is good to see some space in there for over 60 years. Oscar was getting excited when i went through my bits and bobs, dat is one happy puppy who gets excited over small things.

What happened today???

Dear Blog,

Today I was walking down the street to the mall when i almost got hit by some young holagon driving one of those boy toys. What happened to watching out for progestrions?? I'm just a poor inocent olderly lady, I almost feel over and hurt myslf. I am very fragile with my bitter bones, other than that i was shocked as back in my day everyone had to look after the olderly where we had one day a week to visit and admire the olderly. But now its like no one cares what happens and it's look out for yourself. No one even stop asked if i was okay or if i was hurt, shocking as no one shows any interest anymore, pitty really because we all need people in our lives. I left Oscar at my house as im not allowed to bring him in the mall and well i dont trust anyone if i tied him up and left him outside. So he spent a few hours locked up until i got back he was so excited, barking away, so for him behaving so well while i was gone i threw the stick around the front yard to tired him out again lol puppies don't tire easy. But after a few hours he was all sleepy which made the rest of the afternoon easy.

Dear blog,
Today I went into a pet store to look for a new pet, they were so adorable that I wanted to take all of them home, I've been thinking about buying a pet animal since my husband died back in 2000. It gets a bit lonely when my family doesn't visit all the time and well most of my friends aren't around anymore"may they R.I.P. "  Anyways as I walked round the store looking at kittens, puppies, birds, mice, fish and what ever else they had in the store, I came to the choices of either a kitten or a puppy. I could only afford one as I had to buy the food and toys it needed. After about two hours i decided to chose a puppy as shown in the photo. For some odd reason he caught my eye and so i bought him and a few chew toys, food and a collor with chain.

When I got him home i named him 'Oscar", he raced round the house sniffing everything in site, thank god he didn't pee on anything. So now I got to remember to walk him, I feel i've done the right thing by saying a homeless animal.

Dear blog

Today was an interesting day, I decided to sew a new jacket I bought a while ago, its such a nice looking jacket/coat. As it was missing a few buttons, I hunted around my house looking for all the different types of buttons I had lying around and what i found was amazing. There were square shaped buttons, triangle shaped buttons and oddly enough there were rectangle shaped buttons, but after looking for about an hour and a half, I found these really nice war type buttons which suited the coat quite well. The original buttons were much bigger than these so I had to make the button hole smaller which only took a few minutes. I was getting happy with how my coat was turning out so I quickly finished it up and tried it on to make sure it fitted, which it did.

Now I've got to keep it away from my granddaughter as i know she will be interested in it. I do alot of hand sowing and sowing. I've made hats, scarfs, socks and all sorts of other clothes. It's more of a hobby than a chore. Anyways using a sewing machine is a piece of cake for myself as i've done it for about 70 odd years. Well I am off to do some more sewing, this time it's a peggy coat.

today

Dear blog,

Today i spent time with my family, I showed them all what i have learnt so far and they were impressed most likely coz i'm 95 years old. Now what to do is to think of a design or topic for what i would like to create my websites on for the assignment the class got given. Hopefully it shouldnt be too hard to design a suitable website ae.

Surely its like running a car, but time will tell. Anyways back to my day, I decided to clean my car and boy was that a mission, i found some lolly wrappers, sunglasses and god knows what else. But i am pretty sure i found some teeth which i don't thnk is mine under the seats. but now mi wee baby is cleaner than ever. Even my puppy wanted to help but she was too busy playing with the exstenshion cord.

classes

dear blog,

I have been taking computer classes and I have learnt how to set up a website. In the classes you learn about weavers and other setups to create a web page, i've surprisely learnt a small amount with computers such as using colur to put coluor on our site and changing the text style and colour for text aswell. I am still finding it difficult to understand all these different programmes on this small little box shaped television, it even comes up when you turn it on in colour or fancy background.

Before I got my computer i knew nothing, i didnt even know how to turn it on, but now i know more than i thort in such a short time and half the time i didnt even notice i knew nothing. I still get comfused with the different type of little programmes on the machine, like which programme is best for what i would like to do.

I am looking forward to the next class where we are asked to do a project to show what we have learnt and present it in our own design along with some small instructions to help our learning out. I am the oldest person in the class and the youngest would have to be around 18 or 19 years old, but thats not going to stop me from being who i am as im still up and around healthy as a bird and ready to try new things.

Hello,

today i was helping my 12 year old granddaughter with her math homework and well i don't understand why children these days need calculators these days. Back in my day we had to use our noggins to do our maths homework, its just cheating using calculators, do we want our children not having to try to work out hard equations using addition, division etc.
I then helped her with her reading blog for school but not having to read many books is ridiculous as back in my day we had to read lots of books. school seems so much easier now than in my day its not good but more highly drugs are being used in school.

All you see these days are school children dressed untidily walking down the drink smoking god knows what, talking so much crap these days. My day we were smacked over the hands with a belt or ruler in class. Shocking seeing these kids able to do what they like.

Lets Have A Little Chat

Where should i start?

I am 95 years old and I love plants and settings of many sort, such as plants, mountains, buildings, sky.
I struggle to keep a steady hand
on my camera with all its fancy digital technology, there are these buttons I have no idea what they do, if I press this one thing the camera plays up and well i have no clue what to do. Luckily i have grand children who are up with the new technology.
